Axiom Launches Global Small Cap Strategy

Axiom Investors is pleased to announce the launch of the Axiom Global Small Cap Equity strategy, its first new strategy launch since 2014. Axiom has been managing dedicated small cap strategies since 2004 and the Global Small Cap Equity strategy is a natural extension of Axiom’s investment offerings and leverages the existing teams and research coverage across Axiom’s small cap platform. All of Axiom’s dedicated small cap equity strategy composites, including our International Small/Micro Cap Opportunity strategy, US Small Cap Equity strategy, Global Small/Micro Cap Opportunity strategy, and International Small Cap Equity strategy, have outperformed their respective benchmarks since inception on a gross and net of fees basis.

The Global Small Cap Equity strategy is led by founding partner and Co-Lead Portfolio Manager, Matt Franco, CFA, Co-Lead Portfolio Manager, David Kim, CFA, and Co-Portfolio Manager Yogesh Borkar, CFA, who have a combined 60+ years of experience investing in small cap equities and have been collaborating together at Axiom for an average of 16 years. Consistent with Axiom’s investment philosophy across all strategies, the Global Small Cap Equity strategy will focus on investing in dynamic growth companies in developed, emerging and frontier markets, offering broad diversification.

Co-Lead Portfolio Manager, Matt Franco, said, “I have been investing in small cap equities at Axiom since we were founded in 1998. The launch of the Global Small Cap Equity strategy is an exciting step forward for our firm and comes as a result of existing client and prospect demand for the asset class. We’ve spent over 20 years developing our unique expertise investing in dynamic growth companies globally and across market capitalizations.” David Kim, Co-Lead Portfolio Manager, adds, “The Global Small Cap Equity strategy leverages Axiom’s existing small cap expertise providing a unique opportunity for our clients in a market segment that continues to show impressive growth potential.”
